Legal
Welcome to BISS — the place you tell your truth. These Terms are the agreement between you and BISS, Inc. ("BISS," "we," "us"). By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or using BISS, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BISS.
By using BISS you confirm you can form a binding agreement with us and that you'll follow these Terms and our Community Guidelines. If you use BISS on behalf of someone else, you confirm you're allowed to.
You must be at least 16 years old — or the minimum age required in your country — to use BISS. You must be at least 18 to enter contests or win prizes. Every account belongs to one real, verified person. No bots, no shared logins, no accounts created to impersonate someone else.
To keep BISS free of fakes, every account is verified as a real human. You agree to give accurate verification information and to keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
You post under a permanent pseudonym by default, and can choose to publish under your verified real name story-by-story. Your real name is never shown unless you choose to show it. Your pseudonym is permanent by design — a reputation isn't worth much if you can swap the name the moment it gets spicy.
You own your stories. Full stop. To run BISS, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, format, translate, and — in aggregated, anonymized form — analyze your content so the platform can work: turning your words into a titled story, generating a score, building Brand Pages, and producing aggregated brand intelligence.
BISS never uses star ratings. Scores are inferred by AI from the words and emotion in real stories. Scores are an automated read of sentiment, not a statement of fact about any brand, and they move as the stories move.
Keep BISS real. You agree not to:
Full details are in our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms.
Contests are run by brands, businesses, and creators on BISS. Entering and winning are governed by our Contest Rules. BISS runs the arena, keeps fakes out, and keeps it fair — we never take a cut of your idea and never judge on a sponsor's behalf.
Businesses can subscribe to see aggregated, anonymized intelligence about their own brand — what people feel and why. Businesses never see your identity unless you deliberately publish a story under your real name. We don't sell your stories to advertisers, and we don't run ads.
The core of BISS is free forever: storytelling, your Journal Page, Brand Pages, and contest entry. A few optional extras — premium Face expressions, power-user search — may cost a little. Any paid features and their prices will be shown clearly before you buy.
BISS, "Because I Said So," "Tell Your Truth," the kiss mark, and our look and feel belong to us. These Terms don't give you rights to our branding. Your rights to your own stories are covered above.
You can delete any story, or your whole account, at any time — and we'll remove and anonymize it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or where required by law. Nothing gets nuked on a single flag; enforcement follows a real review.
The necessary bit
BISS is provided "as is." Stories and scores are the opinions and experiences of real people, not statements of fact by BISS, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of any individual story. To the fullest extent the law allows, BISS isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Some places don't allow these limits, so parts may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms as BISS grows. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use BISS after changes means you accept the new Terms. The promises on our Promises page are the foundation — those aren't going anywhere.
BISS, Inc. is a Wyoming corporation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
